The art project ART SPACES is the result of the research team members' interest in the phenomenon of space in art inspired by both nature and culture. The artists involved in the project position space and art space as a leading and interesting issue. New understandings of space, physical, virtual, artistic, educational, become a source of artistic inspiration in this context. Space, being multifaceted, implies a variety of problem areas, thus becoming an inspiration for creative solutions to problems located in the area of broadly understood visual arts. The result of these activities are drawings and prints. The authors whose works are presented at the exhibition are mainly artists, teachers of the Institute of Visual Arts at the University of Silesia in Cieszyn.

An Exhibition Artist Statement
The research team realised the following exhibitions in the "Interspaces” project:

- exhibition entitled: "Interspaces”, Hot Bad Press Gallery, Manchester, UK, October 2020,
- exhibition entitled: "Interspaces / Places”, Polish Vilnius Centre, Manchester, UK, October 2021
- poster exhibition entitled: "One Day of Freedom”, Science and Industry Museum, March 2022, Manchester, UK,
- poster exhibition, Central Library Manchester - exhibition as part of Polish Heritage Day / May 2022.
- poster exhibition under the title: "Enigma”. Manchester Central Library Gallery. May/June 2023
- exhibition under the title: "Interspaces” Polish print exhibitions. The exhibition took place at the Hot Bed Press Printmakers Studios Gallery. June, July 2023 The exhibition featured 19 artists from Poland Angflia, France and Ukraine.
- The exhibition titled: "Graphics, drawing. photography, painting” at the Walcownia Zinc Metallurgy Museum, which is part of the Foundation for the Protection of the Industrial Heritage of Silesia. Artists associated with the University of Silesia in Katowice, the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and the Steel Angels Studio in Bytom took part in the exhibition. 18.01.2023 - 24.02.2023
- Exhibition entitled "Between” - photography, illustration, drawing, graphic design, poster. Wiktoria Kubisz House of Culture, Bielsko Biała. November/December 2023.
Exhibitions realised in 2024:
- exhibition entitled : "17 ART”, June 2024. The exhibition took place at the Akwarela Gallery of the Youth Palace in Katowice. The exhibition was attended by 17 artists from the University of Silesia, the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa and invited guests. The artists presented works in the following techniques: drawing, lithography, digitizing, printmaking, gouache, poster, linocut, painting, screen printing, algraphy, collography.
- An exhibition of posters entitled "Nato” Polish Heritage Days is a festival. Manchester Central Library Gallery. May/June 2024.
Exhibitions realised in 2025: An exhibition under the title "Non-symmetrical - graphics, drawing, photography....”, University Gallery 113, Faculty of Arts, Jan Długosz University in Czestochowa (16.04. – 06.05.2025) An exhibition entitled "Poland and Art” at the POSK Gallery in London (24.05. – 08.06.2025)

The above-mentioned exhibitions were attended by members of the team, invited artists, pedagogues from the ISP and invited guests connected with the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, the University of Arts in Poznań, the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa and institutions cooperating with our School, including the Steel Angels Gallery, Kubiszówka in Bielsko-Biała and the Aqart Gallery.
